A second performance at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, California has been added on May 13 due to overwhelming interest. The previously announced May 12 show at Mohegan Sun Arena sold out in one day. The Beach Boys have recorded new songs for an as-yet-untitled album to be released in 2012. It will be the first album to feature all the living original members of the band in decades, and is produced by Brian Wilson and executive produced by Mike Love. The first American pop group to reach its 50th anniversary, the band has been recording and performing music that has become a favorite soundtrack to summer around the world for five decades. The Beach Boys continue to hold the Billboard/Nielsen SoundScan record as the best-selling American group in albums and singles, and are also the American group with the most hits on the Billboard Top 40 chart (36). Sounds Of Summer: The Very Best Of The Beach Boys is fast approaching triple platinum, and The SMiLE Sessions, released in November to critical acclaim worldwide, was named Rolling Stone magazine's first reissue of 2011.
