Badmotorfinger marked a significant stylistic shift for Soundgarden , as the band began experimenting with alternative rock and grunge. The album spawned three singles, "Jesus Christ Pose", "Outshined" and "Rusty Cage". "Jesus Christ Pose" and "Outshined" were nominated for Grammy Awards in 1992 and 1993, respectively. The album Badmotorfinger was certified triple platinum by the RIAA and sold more than three million copies in the United States.
