Simon & Garfunkel's second album after the huge success of their debut album "Sounds of Silence". Some of the recorded tracks come from Paul Simon's "Songbook" album, which was previously only released in the UK. Music critic Ralph J. Gleason wrote in his liner notes for the 1966 album Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme: "The songs on this album are songs for all time." Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel released their third album again with producer Bob Johnston, known for his perfectionism, who had their precise arrangements captured by sound engineer Roy Hale on an eight-track tape recorder. All the ingredients are right here: Simon & Garfunkel crafted their first ever masterpiece in 1966 with "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme," which shone with the light feathers from which the duo composed evergreen hits like "Scarborough Fair," "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)" and "Homeward Bound."
