UDR Music's Home of Legends label releases the three-disc set "Warriors of the Road: The Saxon Chronicles Part II", the follow-up to the 2001 album "Chronicles" by NWOBHM legend Saxon. The men around Biff Byford are undoubtedly one of Europe's top traditional heavy metal bands and enjoy worldwide respect and recognition. On "Warriors of the Road: The Saxon Chronicles Part II", they document their life on the road and on stage in detail, with extensive video and audio footage from their performance at the 2013 UK Steelhouse Festival, as well as complete sets from their shows at the 2012 Wacken Open Air and Download Festival and the 2013 Grapop Festival. A bonus disc provides footage from the Steelhouse Festival on audio CD. While 2001's "Chronicles" sheds light on Saxon's earlier career and line-up, the comprehensive "Warriors of the Road" documents life on the road with the current line-up featuring Paul Quinn (guitar), Nibbs Carter (bass), Nigel Glockler (drums), Doug Scarratt (guitar) and of course mainstay Biff Byford (vocals). In personal interviews, the band members give fans a glimpse into the life of Saxon, explaining the guys' cohesiveness after more than 35 years on the road between stories of invigorating hot drinks and various herbs. A particular highlight is the return of the famous "Eagle Stage" from Hamburg, England to document the entire day of the Steelhouse Festival for the first time in decades - from first light to well past midnight.
