It's got it all: hard rock riffs, scratches, thrilling rhythms and of course the rap and energy of Run, Jam Master Jay and DMC. The New Yorkers' third album was the first in the genre to go platinum - three times. It was the right narrative in the right style and rhythm at the right time. The remastering for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab was handled by Rob LoVerde and Shawn R. Britton. Compared to previous releases, it reveals a much more raucous dynamic that highlights Rick Rubin's lush production in rich detail. The hybrid SACD in mini-LP packaging is released in a limited edition of 2,000 copies with serial numbers.
