Rod Stewart: Another Country version on CD in Standard edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Capitol Records in cooperation with Arnold Stiefel Entertainment on 23. October 2015.
Inside Rod Stewart There's no place like home. That's apparently what Rod Stewart thought, because the singer didn't even leave his house while recording his new album "Another Country". Instead, he invited musicians and co-producer Kevin Savigar to his home, where he had already written and composed all the songs for the album. Still, the singer went out into the world, so to speak. According to Stewart, the title track, "Another Country," was born out of the question of what it would be like to be part of the armed forces, far from home, away from loved ones like his children, and not knowing when you would finally come home. In total, listeners can look forward to twelve new Rod Stewart songs on "Another Country". All of them, like the title track, have become very personal. Stewart himself has said that he has found that the only way to write songs is personal and honest. The first single from the album confirms this theory. "Love Is" was released back on June 23, 2015 and seeks to answer the question of what love is. In it, however, Stewart concludes that the term can't really be understood. In a musical context, "Another Country" fits in well with the Brit's overall output. Rock music blends with pop music and Stewart's unmistakable raspy voice is omnipresent. The twenty-ninth studio album, however, represents a further development as the musician experiments with other genres such as reggae and ska, and Celtic melodies. Honest and personal as never before: on his new album, Rod Stewart lets the listener see inside himself. Review: "The stylistic range is wide, the title track is a folk rocker in the Runrig style, the opener "Love Is" feels like modern Nashville country with fiddle and banjo, the power ballad "Way Back Home" delivers Winston Churchill's message of "We will never surrender" along with polyphonic choruses." (Good Times, December 2015/January 2016)
Album spans genres Rock, Pop, Pop Rock and Soft Rock.
