Among the best known songs from the album are the singles "When Doves Cry", "Let's Go Crazy", the title track "Purple Rain" and "I Would Die 4 U", which reached the Top 10 of the US charts. The artwork on the new disc release features the singer and musician on a motorcycle, the same motif as the album cover.
