Paul Rodgers, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and lead singer of Free and Bad Company, is re-releasing his legendary album "Muddy Water Blues: A Tribute to Muddy Waters" on CD and LP in 2020. "Muddy Water Blues: A Tribute to Muddy Waters" is Rodgers' second solo album. Originally released in 1993, it features guest appearances by legends such as Brian May, Buddy Guy, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Neal Schon, Gary Moore, Brian Setzer, Richie Sambora, Slash, Steve Miller, Jason Bonham and Trevor Rabin. Together they took classic blues tunes and reimagined them a little more towards rock. Because of the many guests, "Muddy Water Blues: A Tribute to Muddy Waters" was recorded in different studios. However, producer Billy Sherwood was able to adapt the sound of the songs very well.
