Paul Kalkbrenner's eighth album "Parts Of Life" comes ten years after the double platinum album "Berlin Calling" and is a direct follow-up to his trilogy "Back To The Future", which documents the beginnings of techno in Berlin in the late 80s. These raw, reduced early recordings left a clear mark: "Parts Of Life" is simple and elemental - and big and full of joie de vivre. It's a timeless album that stands out for its original power. "Parts Of Life" is Paul's most personal and faithful record, with tracks marked only by production numbers. The still life on the album cover was painted by Kalkbrenner's uncle Paul Eisel over a period of two years, and by displaying a number of unique personal items, it shows a different view of Paul.
