These raw, reduced early recordings left a clear mark: "Parts Of Life" is simple and elemental - and big and full of joie de vivre. It's a timeless album that stands out for its original power. "Parts Of Life" is Paul's most personal and faithful record, with tracks marked only by production numbers. The still life on the album cover was painted by Kalkbrenner's uncle Paul Eisel over a period of two years, and by displaying a number of unique personal items, it shows a different view of Paul.
