Product Information Australian metal band Parkway Drive has announced the release of the Viva The Underdogs soundtrack to the documentary film of the same name. The soundtrack features 11 live tracks from the band's headlining set at the 2019 Wacken Open Air heavy metal festival in Germany, as well as 3 studio tracks recorded in German: "Würgegriff (Vice Grip)", "Die Leere (The Void)" and "Schattenboxen (Shadow Boxing)", featuring German rapper Casper. Today, the band shares both a live and German version (Die Leere) of "The Void", which was previously taken from Reverence's sixth studio album. The soundtrack is currently available for pre-order, here. "This was without a doubt one of the most unique projects we've undertaken," says vocalist Winston McCall of the recording of "Die Leere" (The Void). "The idea of taking our songs and interpreting them through a different language was a huge challenge, but given the amount of time, love and support that has been shown to us over the years, we wanted to commit to doing the project completely honestly. As a result, every effort has been made to translate the meaning, spirit and conviction of these songs into a language that is not our own. We hope that the result will help strengthen the connection that this music creates. We offer these songs to you out of respect and sincere thanks for all the times you have sung them with us in their original form. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed the process of creating them."
