Life, Death and Old Roughness For Pain Of Salvation, 2017 is about life and death. Because that's what their new, long-awaited album "In The Passing Light Of Day" is all about - impermanence. The serious illness of singer and guitarist Daniel Gildenlöw in 2014 was decisive for the choice of this not-so-simple topic. The Swedish progressive metallers composed ten songs for "In The Passing Light Of Day", with a total length of almost 70 minutes, and finally recorded them together with producer Daniel Bergstrand in the Swedish studio Dugout. Already last year's singles "Meaningless" and "Reasons" show that Pain Of Salvation have returned to their musical roots on their tenth studio album. And they are especially hard. In addition to the standard CD and double LP including CD, "In The Passing Light Of Day" is also available in a limited edition. The double CD release includes the new album and a bonus CD with demos and the opening songs. "In The Passing Light Of Day" by Pain Of Salvation is a monumental album not only because of the length of the songs. The Swedes have dug out their old toughness. And in 2017, it damn well suits them.
