Obituary is an American death metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed in 1984. The band consists of vocalist John Tardy, drummer Donald Tardy, guitarist Trevor Peres, bassist Terry Butler and guitarist Kenny Andrews. Obituary has undergone several line-up changes, with the only permanent members being the Tardy brothers and Butler. The band's debut album "Slowly We Rot" (1989) is considered a death metal classic, and Obituary has since released eight more studio albums. The band's most recent album, " Obituary " (2017), was released on March 17, 2017 via Relapse Records.
