Even many years after her death, Nina Simone's songs are still moving and fascinating to countless fans. Verve is now releasing the legendary singer's album "Fodder On My Wings", which was one of her most popular albums, but because it was recorded in 1982 for a small French label, it was only sporadically available and is now almost forgotten. That's about to change now that Verve is reissuing this exciting and emotional work with three bonus tracks on CD and LP. At the time Nina Simone recorded the album, she was living briefly in France and experiencing mental health problems. Her artistic spirit was simmering, however, and this could be heard in the dynamic tracks with African and Caribbean grooves and deeply emotional ballads.
