Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds: The Firstborn Is Dead version on vinyl LP in Standard edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Mute in cooperation with BMG on 16. December 2022.

Although "First Born is Dead" was recorded in Hansa's Berlin studio, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' second album explores themes set in the southern United States. In particular, the single "Tupelo", which deals with the birth of Elvis Presley and his twin brother Jesse Garon. Musically, it is very stripped down and heavily influenced by the blues, with passages taken from John Lee Hooker and Blind Lemon Jefferson. And even Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash are quoted in "Wanted Man". The album divided critics at the time of its release, but today the public understands the "Southern Gothic" feel of the work. Vinyl editions of Nick were long unavailable and traded as rarities. In October, the film "20,000 Days on Earth" will be released, which is in a sense (i.e., hyperbole) a documentary about the life and work of Nick Cave.
