Henry's Dream is the eighth studio album by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, released on March 22, 1992. The album was recorded in late 1991 at Townhouse Studios in London and mixed at Hansa Tonstudios in Berlin. Henry's Dream was the band's first album released after the death of singer-songwriter Nick Cave's father and is often cited as a return to the dark, gothic sound of their early albums. The album also featured the first appearance of violinist Warren Ellis. Henry's Dream was met with a favourable critical response and was ranked by NME magazine as the second best album of 1992. The first single from the album, "The Weeping Song", became a hit on radio and MTV and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song. The album's title track, "Henry's Dream", was also released as a single and was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Single. The album Henry's Dream is considered by many to be the band's masterpiece and is often cited as one of the best albums of the 1990s.
