On their seventh album "Blue Sky Mining", the band focused on international music on tracks like "One Country", "Blue Sky Mine" and "Forgotten Years" without losing their distinctive Australian voice. On a US tour following the album's release, the band drew attention to the environmental disaster caused by an Exxon tanker running aground in Alaska. They rented a truck and performed a great guerrilla scene outside Exxon's offices in New York, which stopped traffic and got the issue on the front pages of newspapers around the world. "Blue Sky Mining" was another globally successful album, reaching the Top 5 in many parts of Europe and the Top 20 in the U.S. In their homeland, the band won five ARIA awards and went platinum five times.
