The fantastic Melody Gardot releases her third studio album!The multi-talented American jazz singer and songwriter Melody Gardot announces her next album after three years. Her third album is due out later this month. Melody achieved worldwide popularity with her last album "My One And Only Thrill" in 2009, for which she received three nominations at the prestigious Grammy Awards in addition to numerous gold and platinum awards. In 2010, she subsequently settled in Marrakech for some time, looking for inspiration to write new songs... The Philadelphia native's new collection is titled "The Absence" . Melody wrote all the songs for the new album herself, with production by acclaimed Brazilian composer and musician Heitor Pereira. The album offers the pulsating rhythms of samba, tango and fado, but also brings to mind the legendary music of George Gershwin, whom the singer considers one of her great role models... "Mira", a bossa nova, was chosen as the album's pilot single, for which Melody Gardot shot a beautiful video in the streets of Rio De Janeiro. Already this single makes it clear that "The Absence" will be another important item in the discography of (not only) every true jazzman...
