"Když jsem byl koncem šedesátých a začátkem sedmdesátých let dítě, pouštěli mi rodiče a jejich přátelé desky Andyho Williamse, Deana Martina, Franka Sinatry a Perryho Coma, hudbu se smyčcovými aranžemi a muži zpívajícími písně, které zněly smutně, ať už byly, nebo ne. Doma naši poslouchali také country - Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, George Jones a Vern Gosdin patřili k našim oblíbencům. Dlouho jsem chtěl natočit desku, která by ve mně vyvolávala stejný pocit jako ty staré desky, s použitím stejných melodií, které jsem miloval jako dítě, a některých, které jsem si oblíbil, když jsem zestárl. Tahle deska je přesně taková. Imitace", tak zní název desky Marka Lanegana.

Unter anderem wurden Künstler wie Nick Cave, Greg Dulli und John Cale auf großartige Art und Weise neu interpretiert!
