DNA is the debut studio album by British girl group Little Mix.It was released on 19 November 2012 by Syco Music. The album was preceded by the release of the lead single "Wings" on 19 August 2012. The album features a guest appearance by American rapper Missy Elliott, who appears on the track "How Ya Doin'?". The album was recorded between 2011 and 2012 and was produced by TMS, Future Cut, Richard "Biff" Stannard and Julian Bunetta. The album debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart, selling 38,000 copies in its first week. It was later certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for delivering 300,000 copies. The album also reached the top ten in Ireland and New Zealand and the top twenty in Australia and Canada. "DNA" was praised by music critics who praised the group's vocal ability and production. The album spawned four singles, "Wings", "DNA", "Change Your Life" and "How Ya Doin'?". "Wings" became the group's first UK single, while "DNA" and "Change Your Life" reached number one in the charts.
