Kim Wilde's Great Hits Collection Kim Wilde's career, under her own name Kimberly Smith, began in 1980. The British pop singer signs a contract with RAK Records and releases her first single "Kids in America" in January 1981. The song, composed and written by her father, rock 'n' roll singer Marty Wilde, and her brother Ricky, becomes an international hit. From that moment on, the success story evolves. Kim Wilde has so far released 13 studio albums, had 30 hit singles in the UK charts and sold over 30 million records worldwide. Reason enough to look back on her musical career. A new collection of Kim Wilde's hits, 'Pop Don't Stop - Greatest Hits', will be released in 2021 on a double CD and in a special expanded Deluxe edition with five CDs and two DVDs. Both formats include radio arrangements and 7ʺ-single versions of many hits, including "Kids In America," "You Came," "You Keep Me Hangin' On," "Love Is Holy" and "Kandy Krush." Two brand new tracks are also a special treat: "Shine On" is a duet with Boy George. Kim and her brother Ricky wrote the song with Swedish composer Fredrik Thomander in Italy. "You're My Karma" is another duet with British singer-songwriter Tom Aspaul. The expanded Deluxe Edition also includes additional singles, b-sides, four of which are available on CD for the first time, and a selection of remixes. The collector's box is complemented by a deluxe booklet with song lyrics and a DVD collection of nearly 50 tracks, interviews and a look back at video clips featuring Kim Wilde. Double CD edition at a glance: 24 UK hits, 7 of them in the Top 10 US number one "You Keep Me Hangin' On" radio editions of the respective singles new single "Shine On", a duet with Boy George.
