Until then, however, the heavy metal legends will make their fans' wait for 2018 more enjoyable with a brand new album. "Firepower" is the Brits' eighteenth studio album, the follow-up to 2014's "Redeemer Of Souls," and Judas Priest already showed in January with the gigantic first single "Lightning Strike" that the record lives up to its title. Rob Halford (vocals), Glenn Tipton (guitar), Richie Faulkner (guitar), Ian Hill (bass) and Scott Travis (drums) recorded a total of 14 songs for "Firepower". For the first time since 1988's "Ram It Down", they collaborated again with producer Tom Allom, and for the first time Andy Sneap was responsible for co-production. In addition to the CD and double LP, "Firepower" is also available as a deluxe edition CD in a hardcover book. Judas Priest have been around for half a century and are still setting standards. "Firepower" is the new proof.
