The album "The Mystery of Life" was released in March 1991 and was Johnny Cash's sixth and final album on Mercury Records. It contains songs from the current album sessions as well as from Cash's first Mercury session in 1986 for the album "Johnny Cash is Coming to Town". The record includes recordings of two songs associated with him from his days at Sun and Columbia: "Hey Porter" and "Wanted Man". On "I'll Go Somewhere and Sing My Songs Again", Cash records a duet with his longtime collaborator Tom T. Hall. The LP reissue of the album, remastered for the first time from the original Mercury master tapes, is pressed on 180g vinyl to ensure the highest quality and fidelity.
