Particularly exciting, for example, are the famous Toccata and Fugue BWV 565 in the supposedly original version for solo violin and the organ arrangements of some individual movements of the chorale motet Jesu, meine Freude BWV 227. The two pieces are of course also heard together, for example in the Trio Sonata in E minor BWV 528.
