Wired' is a solo album by Jeff Beck released in 1976. This album began a fruitful collaboration with former Mahavishnu Orchestra keyboardist Jan Hammer, with whom Beck toured shortly thereafter. Beck and Hammer worked together extensively, so that his synthesizer sounded almost identical to his guitar. The result was a more synthetic sound, hence the name "Wired". Members of the "Blow by Blow" lineup appear on some tracks. These tracks were recorded during the recording of the "Blow by Blow" album, but were omitted from the album and converted to ired. One of the most acclaimed tracks is Beck's rendition of the Charles Mingus classic "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat". Review.
