Japan: Quiet Life version on CD in Remastered edition. This particular edition was published in Europe and UK in publishing company Sony BMG Music Entertainment in cooperation with Ariola Hansa on 31. October 2006.

Japan was founded in London in 1974. Originally influenced by the glam rock of David Bowie and The New York Dolls, singer-songwriter David Sylvian, bassist Mick Karn, keyboardist Richard Barbieri, drummer Steve Jansen and guitarist Rob Dean turned to synth pop and explored the genre with some very experimental songs. In March 1978, they made their Japanese debut with the album "Adolescent Sex", followed by "Obscure Alternatives" in October of the same year. Quiet Life" followed in 1979. The best Japanese songs are collected on the Best Of compilation "Assemblage".
