Nové album, nový zpěvák

Poté, co zpěvák Ignite Zoltán "Zoli" Téglás v roce 2019 kapelu opustil, aby se více věnoval ochraně zvířat a založil novou skupinu Ocean Hills, byl v roce 2021 představen jeho nástupce u mikrofonu: Eli Santana, kterého metaloví fanoušci mohou znát z kapel jako Holy Grail. Zbytek melodického hardcorového komba z kalifornského Orange County stále tvoří kytaristé Nik Hill a Kevin Kilkenny, baskytarista Brett Rasmussen a bubeník Craig Andersen.

V září vyšel první společný singl "Anti-Complicity Anthem", v listopadu první videosingl "The River" a v lednu 2022 skladba "On The Ropes". Všechny tři skladby jsou předzvěstí nového, šestého alba Ignite "Ignite", které vyjde šest let po "A War Against You".

Baskytarista Rasmussen o novém zpěvákovi: "Energie a pozitivita, kterou Eli přinesl do nahrávacího studia, byla nakažlivá! Byl to pro nás všechny závan čerstvého vzduchu a připomněl mi začátky Ignite. Nemůžu se dočkat, až s těmito písněmi vyrazíme na turné." K albu se vyjádřil takto: "Je za ním spousta tvrdé práce a já mám z alba Ignite větší radost, než jsem měl za dlouhou dobu. Je to neuvěřitelný pocit pracovat tak tvrdě na projektu a vidět, že celý plán vyšel podle očekávání."

Pokud se chcete sami přesvědčit, zda plán vyšel, doporučujeme singl "On The Ropes", který podle kytaristy Nika Hilla působí jako "moderní verze oldschoolové písně Ignite".
