1991 saw the release of Guns N' Roses' Use Your Illusion II, the follow-up to the highly successful Use Your Illusion I. The album contained the hits "You Could Be Mine", "Don't Cry", "November Rain" and "Civil War". While Use Your Illusion I was more hard rock-oriented, Use Your Illusion II contained a wider variety of styles, including ballads, acoustic tracks and even one country song. The album was a huge success, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and selling over 7 million copies in the United States alone.
