Four years ago, Green Day fans might have thought they were really spoiled, as the band served up three new albums in a row. Then things calmed down a bit and the band took a sabbatical. However, that ended in 2016. And with "Revolution Radio", we finally get to see a new album. Earlier this year, Billie Joe Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Mike Dirnt (bass, vocals) and Tré Cool (drums, percussion, backing vocals) went into the studio in Oakland to write, compose and produce the album themselves. The result is twelve songs that Armstrong says are "a call for all lost souls to come together." The world has lost its cohesion. As always, Green Day play loud, guitar-driven and a little more punk rock than before. Proof of this has been evident since August 11, 2016, when the first single "Bang Bang" premiered. Green Day are finally back. And the first single already makes it clear that they are back with a bang. Here is "Revolution Radio."
