This 1977 album was composed, produced and recorded by Giorgio Moroder. Moroder is originally from Italy, but was living in Germany at the time. The album directly follows Moroder's phenomenally successful collaboration with Donna Summer and the resulting hit "I Feel Love". Moroder stated at the time that only electronic keyboards were used in the recording of the album. "From Here to Eternity", the album's title track, was his most successful number one in the UK (16th in the singles chart). Other songs such as "First Hand Experience in Second Hand Love" and "I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone" reached a new generation of fans through the popular video game "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories".
