Oxford quintet Foals have two Top 10 albums under their belt and are currently gearing up to release their third album. The new album is called "Holy Fire". Foals recorded "Holy Fire" in the London studio of producers Flood & Moulder, who have previously worked with Smashing Pumpkins, PJ Harvey, Ninch Inch Nails and The Killers, among others. The first result of this collaboration that the band will present to us is the song "Inhaler" - electrifying, shamanic music that cleanses the soul and raises the dead. Though heavier than anything Foals have written before, it's imbued with the band's impossible groove and funk. Although they haven't listened to any music other than their own since their last album, the new album sounds both "dirtier, muddier" and more danceable than the last. They were nominated for a Mercury Prize with the song Total Life Forever. In 2011, they won the award for Best Single ("Spanish Sahara") at the NME Awards. Votes were also held in four other categories. In 2011 they were also nominated for Best Song at the Ivor Novello Awards. Reviews ,,.
