The second studio album of the progressive supergroup around Steve Morse (Deep Purple) and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater)! The debut eponymous album Flying Colors is considered one of the most exciting albums of 2012 - critics are unusually unanimous in their agreement. Guitarist Steve Morse (Deep Purple, Dixie Dregs, Kansas), drummer Mike Portnoy (Transatlantic, Winery Dogs, Dream Theater), multi-instrumentalist Neal Morse (Transatlantic, Spock's Beard), bassist Dave LaRue (Dixie Dregs, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai) and relatively young singer Casey McPherson combine virtuosity with melodic songwriting. Or, as producer Bill Evans puts it, "modern music the old-fashioned way." After a live release on Blu-ray, DVD, compact disc and vinyl, their second studio album "Second Nature" is finally out. Nine fascinating new tracks, including two long tracks 'Open Your Eyes' and 'Cosmic Symphony', make it clear that anyone who enjoys sophisticated rock music with progressive influences cannot ignore Flying Colors. Progressive fans will probably most appreciate the two long tracks at the beginning and end of the album - the three-part 'Cosmic Symphony' in particular contains everything a progressive's heart desires."
