The band from Buffalo, NY manages to accomplish not one, but two nearly impossible tasks with fervent charisma and unflagging energy. They've survived two decades as an underground band appreciated for their unconventional ideas, and unlike most careers, they've steadily improved and moved forward with each successive album. EVERY TIME I DIE puts out a gorgeous hardcore punk sound. The alchemical music, which evokes southern rock and raw poetry, is delivered with sardonic and clever wordplay that establishes them as leaders, not followers. Radical's ninth studio album features 16 tracks of the best of EVERY TIME I DIE, including new anthems. They bring what you know and love, and then bring new possibilities. To say that "All This And War," featuring a guest appearance by Josh Scogins of The '68, is absolutely brutal heavy would be an understatement. It's an addictive punch in the face that you want to listen to over and over again. "Thing With Feathers," co-written by Manchester Orchestra's Andy Hull, sees the boys venture into the dark, haunted woods where their grittier, more melodic side emerges.
