When Eric Clapton swapped his usual Stratocaster for a Martin acoustic guitar in January 1992 and recorded the now legendary Unplugged album, he was already considered the absolute master of the electric guitar.

The live album featured the legendary guitarist accompanied by a small backing band with acoustic versions of his own songs and a few blues standards. Upon its release that year, the album became an undisputed hit with 19 million copies sold worldwide and six Grammy Awards, including "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year."

The best-selling live album of all time, with 10 million copies and a must-have among audiophiles, is finally being released as a numbered hybrid SACD on Mobile Fidelity. Impressively accurate, deep and sonically realistic, this new edition of the 1992 Grammy Award-winning masterpiece is compelling in every way. The session recorded as part of MTV's "Unplugged" series conveys a completely authentic live feel in this edition, allowing Clapton's classic to shine once again.
