Eric Clapton has been one of the best guitarists in the world for over forty years. In addition to countless music awards and platinum records, he has received a special honour: he is the only musician in the world to have been immortalised three times in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - as a founding member of the Yardbirds, as a member of Cream, the prototype of all supergroups, and for his achievements as a solo artist. JJ Cale co-wrote four songs: two of them he wrote himself ("River Runs Deep" and "Everything Will Be Alright") and two are duets with Eric (the aforementioned "River Runs Deep" and "No Way To Get Along"). Allen and Troy collaborate on two tracks ("My Very Good Friend The Milkman" and "When Somebody Thinks You're Wonderful"), both of which also feature Wynton Marsalis. Walt Richmond, a member of JJ Calea's band, plays keyboards on all tracks. Walt played on JJ Cale and Eric Clapton's GRAMMY Award-winning gold album The Road to Escondido, and was recently a member of Eric's touring band. (rosebudus. com)
