August marks the 50th anniversary of Elvis' legendary live performance at the International Hotel in Las Vegas in 1969. Following his televised return in the form of the famous '68 NBC special, the Nevada concerts proved that he had become an accomplished live performer after an eight-year hiatus, and are now considered another milestone in his impressive career. Elvis played a total of 57 sold-out concerts at the International Hotel, and one of his most successful singles, the number one hit "Suspicious Minds," made its concert debut there. Those lucky enough to be on site at the time were able to experience the King of Rock and Roll in a large lineup with two vocal groups (The Imperials and The Sweet Inspirations), a full orchestra and the band that later became known as the TCB Band. The Las Vegas concerts are preceded by a legendary reputation that can now finally be experienced here in spectacular form. Certainly one of the greatest moments of this series of performances is the midnight show on August 26, now released in its entirety on double LP: "Live at the International Hotel, Las Vegas, NV August 26, 1969".
