Released in 1957 as "Elvis' Christmas Album", it sold very well and paved the way for many stars to find success with other Christmas albums. Over the years, Elvis had a habit of warming up before studio recordings or live concerts by singing his favorite gospel songs. The idea to release an album of Elvis' gospel songs didn't come about until 1960. This album, His Hand In Mine, was also a great success.
