The album will feature familiar b-sides that Elbow have recorded over their long career, as well as rarities that have never appeared on an album before. The story the album tells puts the band in a new light once again. It includes tracks ranging from "No One" from the "Newborn" EP (2000) to "Buffalo Ghost," a song on the limited edition 10" vinyl "Open Arms" released last April. It's no coincidence that Craig Potter produced and mixed the band's last two albums ("The Seldom Seen Kid" and "Build A Rocket Boys!"). It was on these numerous B-sides that the band was able to experiment and hone their skills. "The band has always loved the terrain of B-sides and this is now a collection of our favourites. None of our B-sides are discarded albums. It's a diverse range, especially after we finished the album and all the band members were feeling creative. Because of that, "Dead in the Boot" has a really nighttime vibe. My sister came up with the title after we released "Asleep In The Back". Some of these songs are some of the best we've ever written. It was important for us to make this collection a standalone album. Some fans will feel that there are gross flaws, but these songs are perfect in this constellation." Guy Garvey - Elbow
