Edguy: Mandrake version on CD in Standard edition. This particular edition was published in Germany in publishing company AFM Records on 13. July 2018.
Anniversary remastered reissue It's been 20 years since the release of Edguy's fifth album "Mandrake", actually 21 years. The German power metal titans will celebrate the anniversary in 2022 with a reissue of the album on CD and vinyl. "Mandrake" was released on November 27, 2001 as the follow-up to 2000's "The Savage Poetry" and was their last studio album for AFM Records. They later signed a deal with Nuclear Blast. The ten songs on the album were recorded by a band consisting of Tobias Sammet (lead and backing vocals, keyboards, organ), Jens Ludwig (guitars), Dirk Sauer (guitars), Tobias "Eggi" Exxel (bass) and Felix Bohnke (drums) at Rhoen studio in Fulda, Germany, together with Norman Meieritz (engineer), Mikko Karmila (mixing) and Mika Jussila (mastering). "Mandrake" is now considered one of Edgua's most diverse albums, with the band exploring different styles of the power metal genre. For the re-release on CD and double LP in gatefold sleeve, optionally on classic black or white vinyl, all recordings have been completely remastered.
