Edguy

German Power Metal Band

Edguy is a power metal band from Fulda, Germany that was formed in 1992. The band was founded by vocalist Tobias Sammet, guitarists Jens Ludwig and Dirk Sauer, bassist Tobias Exxel, and drummer Felix Bohnke. They are known for their melodic approach to metal, often incorporating elements of speed and symphonic metal into their sound. Edguy gained popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s with albums such as "Vain Glory Opera" (1998), "Theater of Salvation" (1999), and "Mandrake" (2001), which are considered some of their best works and helped establish them as a notable act in the European power metal scene.
