Before the band broke up, ROGER WATERS and DAVID GILMOUR shared lead vocals in PINK FLOYD! While WATERS sang the more rock-oriented, offbeat songs, GILMOUR was characterized by a softer, balladic sound that shaped singles like "Wish You Were Here" and the much later "High Hopes" (the Division Bell album). He also performed these two songs + "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (from Wish You Were Here) and "Comfortably Numb" (from The Wall) at his concert at London's Meltdown Festival in June 2001. He was so frenetically acclaimed by the audience at this concert that he held three more sold-out shows earlier this year, 2002, accompanied by fellow PINK FLOYD member RICK WRIGHT, from which the three bonus tracks on this DVD are taken. In addition to the 2001 concert as the main content with 5.1 sound and the aforementioned bonus tracks, this DVD also includes home video of rehearsals with the choir and - surely invaluable for amateur guitarists - 6 guitar solos with master fretboard recordings. On the Amaray cover is a sticker with the following text: "Contains the classic PINK FLOYD songs Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb and High Hopes"! With this DVD, "high hopes" are fulfilled! The VHS is limited to the concert only!
