Discovery is the debut studio album by French electronic music duo Daft Punk , released on 26 February 2001 by Virgin Records. The album was recorded over two years, starting in 1998, at Daft Punk's home studio in Paris. It contains elements of house, techno, acid house and electro. Discovery was well received by music critics, who praised its eclectic mix of genres and retro-futuristic aesthetic. It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year and won the Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album. By March 2001, the album had sold 1.5 million copies worldwide. The album's lead single, "One More Time", was a commercial success and reached number one in many countries, including France, the United Kingdom and the United States. It was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. The second single, "Aerodynamic", was also successful and reached the top ten in several countries. "Digital Love" was released as the third single from the album and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" as the fourth single. Discovery has been cited as one of the best electronic albums
