Formed in the mid-1980s, they released a string of multi-platinum albums and hit singles, the music videos of which were heavily rotated on MTV. They made a name for themselves as a glam metal band, but then switched to a hard rock/blues rock sound. In the mid-1990s, the band's popularity declined severely due to personal setbacks and changes in public musical tastes. Nevertheless, the band got back together after a hiatus and is still active today.
