Recordings of the band itself are almost non-existent, but after its break-up, other influential bands emerged from the ashes: Gong, Soft Machine and especially Caravan. Caravan's eponymous debut was released in 1968. It is considered a seminal album, reflecting the weird yet experimental mood of the time. Their sound went much further than the changing musical styles of the contemporary underground, and this is what set Caravan apart and distinct from other bands of their genre.
