On May 18, 2018, Columbia Records / Legacy Recordings will release the vinyl boxset "Bruce Springsteen: The Vinyl Collection Vol. 2 (1987 - 1996)". The albums collected in this collection have not been available for a long time and now appear for the first time in a remastered version on vinyl. These include the four studio albums Bruce Springsteen released during this creative period, plus a 12" version of the 1988 live EP "Chimes of Freedom", the 1993 special "MTV Plugged" album on double LP, and the 1996 "Blood Brothers" EP, which is being released on vinyl for the first time ever. All LPs feature original artwork and the set is accompanied by a 60-page booklet with rare photos, memorabilia and newspaper clippings from 1987-1996. The albums on "Bruce Springsteen: The Vinyl Collection Vol. 2 (1987 - 1996)" were remastered by renowned sound engineer Bob Ludwig and Springsteen's longtime sound engineer Toby Scott from the original analog masters using the intricate "Plangent Process". To optimize sound quality, songs from the LPs "Tunnel of Love" (1987) and "Human Touch" (1992) were pressed onto double vinyl. The box set thus contains a total of 10 recordings. All studio albums included on "Bruce Springsteen: The Vinyl Collection Vol. 2 (1987-1996)" have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum by the RIAA and the LPs have reached the Top 5 of the Billboard 200. "The Vinyl Collection Vol. 2 (1987-1996)" follows "Bruce Springsteen: The Album Collection Vol. 1, 1973-1984," a box set containing Bruce Springsteen's first seven studio albums.
