"High Hopes" is Bruce Springsteen's 18th studio album. It is the follow-up to "Wrecking Ball", which topped the German, UK and US charts in March 2012. The recording of "High Hopes" took place in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Australia and New York under different constellations. Springsteen collaborated with members of the E Street Band, guitarist Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave and others) and many other musicians. Twelve tracks were produced by Brendan O'Brien, Ron Aniello (co-producer of some songs) and Bruce Springsteen. Morello joined the E Street Band in March 2013 for Springsteen's Australian tour (replacing Steve Van Zandt) and according to Springsteen, he became "my muse, he took the whole project to the next level". Morello appears not only as guitarist on "High Hopes", but also as Springsteen's duet partner on "The Ghost Of Tom Joad". E Street Band members Danny Federici and Clarence Clemons, who died in 2008 and 2011, respectively, also appear on several songs that Springsteen calls "some of the best unreleased material of the last decade."
