Hudba skupiny Booker T & The M.G. je v povědomí každého, kdo se zajímá o hudbu, protože její písně často samplují známé hvězdy. Základ jejich úspěšné kariéry byl položen již v roce 1962 hitem "Green Onions".

Booker T. & The M.G. byli doprovodnou kapelou soulového dua Sam & Dave a právě k jejich hitům se po letech vrátili komici Dan Aykroyd a John Belushi a přiblížili je bílému publiku ve filmu Blues Brothers.

Green Onions je debutové album skupiny Booker T. & the M.G.'s, které vyšlo u Stax Records v říjnu 1962. V měsíci vydání se dostalo na 33. místo v hitparádě popových alb. Titulní singl se stal celosvětovým hitem a jeho coververze nahrály desítky umělců, včetně Blues Brothers a Roye Buchanana (oba se Stevem Cropperem na kytaru), dále The Ventures, Al Kooper, The Shadows, Mongo Santamaría a Count Basie.

Klasika žánru znovu vydána. Limitovaná audiofilská edice. DMM mastering.
