The first disc focuses on Bonnie in her pomp during the 80s and 90s and includes six albums recorded for the CBS and Hansa labels. "Total Eclipse Of The Heart", a transatlantic No. 1 single and bestseller throughout Europe, is a natural starting point and her signature song. Other highlights include "Holding Out For A Hero" from the Footloose soundtrack. The second disc is devoted to original material from the first four studio albums recorded for RCA Records between 1976 and 1981. Two albums, Lost In France and It's A Heartache, make the top ten, with many other fine tracks to be found. The third disc is devoted to classics and duets. Bonnie's distinctive voice has been heard in many standards over the years. She first recorded the song "The Best", which later became a hit for Tina Turner, and other classic cover versions heard on The Ultimate Collection include "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman", "You Are So Beautiful", "Don't Turn Around" and "Piece Of My Heart". The third CD also includes "Loving You's A Dirty Job (But Somebody's Got To Do It)", recorded with Todd Rundgren, and the Top 5 hit "A Rockin' Good Way" with Shakin' Stevens.
