The inventors of rap are back! Ice-T and his crew are as angry as ever on their seventh studio album, which is also a celebration of the band's 30th anniversary. Carnivore, their second album on Century Media, is the logical follow-up to its two relentless and critically acclaimed predecessors, "Bloodlust" (2017) and "Manslaugther" (2014). Ice-T's angry and socially critical lyrics are once again paired with thick guitar riffs and references to metal and hardcore greats like Slayer, Metallica, Pantera, Suicidal Tendencies and Rage Against The Machine. Bangers like "Thee Critical Beatdown", "The Hate Is Real" and the title track are the right fodder for old school Body Count fans, while "Colors" is a killer metal version of ICE-T's 1988 hit of the same name. With Motörhead's "Ace Of Spades", Body Count once again pay tribute to their musical heroes, while "When I'm Gone" features a guest appearance from Amy Lee (Evanescence) and shows a new side of the band. Other guest musicians include Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer), Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed) and Riley Gale (Power Trip).
