Cheshire Cat is the debut studio album by American rock band Blink-182. The album was recorded at Westbeach Recorders in Hollywood, California and released on February 17, 1995 on the Cargo Music label. The album was produced by Blink-182 and Jerry Finn and was recorded over the course of six weeks. Blink-182 The album was recorded in the winter of 1994 and the album title is a reference to the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. The album cover was designed by Mark Hoppus and the photographs for the album were taken by Kevin Kerslake. The album's lead single, "M+M's", was released in November 1994. The album's second single, "Wasting Time", was released in February 1995. The album's third and final single, "Dammit", was released in May 1995. Cheshire Cat has received mixed to positive reviews from music critics. The album was commercially successful and charted at number 29 on the Billboard 200. In 1996, the album received a gold record from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
